1/20/2011 - Wasilla PD #10-1736 Arson

On 12-6-10 and 12-16-10, a structure fire was reported at Earthly Treasures, located at 340 N. Lucille Street in Wasilla.  The first fire was called in at approximately 9:00 PM and extinguished shortly after the fire was started but the building was still heavily damaged.  A set of keys belonging to the business were located outside the structure.  The second fire which occurred on 12-16-10 was called in at approximately 9:30 PM and did substantial damage resulting in the shutdown of the business.  The building was a total loss and damage was estimated at $200,000.

1/14/2011 - AST #11-2219 - Vehicle Theft I X2, Burglary II, Criminal Mischief III X2


On 01/08/2011 at 9:11 AM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a church on Hollywood Rd. in Big Lake for a reported burglary.  Investigation revealed two church vans were stolen.  The vans were wrecked and recovered in the area of Kluane and Klutina.  A newer model 42” flat screen television and a Fender Bassman amplifier were stolen from the church with an estimated value of $1000.

12/21/2010 - AST #10-117817/AST #10-117750 - Larceny: Theft of Heating Fuel in Sutton

On 12/16/2010 the Alaska State Troopers responded to two separate reports of heating fuel stolen in the Sutton area.  The first incident involved approximately 350 gallons of heating fuel stolen on 12-6-10 from a residence on Wright Way in Sutton.    The second incident occurred late in the evening on 12-15-10 from a business known as Kat’s Quik Mart, formerly known as the Riverside Grocery & Deli, located on the Glenn Highway (this was the second incident within a week at Kat’s Quik Mart).  The combined loss is approximately $1,585.00.  No leads or suspects have been developed.

12/13/2010 - AST #10-113652 - Burglary I

On 12/03/2010at approximately 4:55 PM, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a theft at a residence off of Peninsula Drive in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed unknown person(s) gained access to the residence by breaking a window in a door.  The following items were taken from the residence, a Playstation 3, a 40” Samsung television (ModelUN40B6000), a Gateway Laptop Computer (Model 2010) with a black cord, and a 9 mm handgun.  Investigation is ongoing.

12/3/2010 - AST #10-90225 - Burglary
On 09/20/2010 at approximately 7:30 PM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Paddock Drive in Wasilla to investigate a burglary.  Investigation revealed on 9-20-10, unknown suspect(s) gained forced entry into the residence stealing several thousand dollars in personal property and causing approximately $1,000 in damage to the residence.  An XBox 360 Console (Gelgame), Apple IMac 20” desktop computer, Cannon EOS T1i camera, Toshiba HDTV Model 32HLC56, Panasonic 42” HDTV Model TH-42PX60U, and a white Nintendo Wii Console (Gelgame) were stolen.

11/27/2010 - WPD #10-1509 - Burglary

On 11/04/2010 at approximately 0910 hours, the Wasilla Police Department received a report of a burglary at the CC Skidoo shop located on S. Willow in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed that three ATV’s were recently stolen from the property.  In addition, it was later discovered the evening of 11/4/10 that a 2010 Ski Doo Model 600 Renegade Backcounty snow machine was stolen.  The snow machine has distinguishing details to include yellow and black honeycomb panels, Rev Tek suspension, custom air intake holes and a RS race seat.  Approximate value of the snow machine is approximately $14,000 (similar to the attached photo). The ATV’s have since been recovered.

11/20/2010 - AST #10-100772 - Burglary

On 10/22/2010 at approximately 3:40 PM, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a burglary at a transmission shop located near Mile 50 of the Parks Highway in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed that forced entry was made and approximately $10,000 worth of tools was stolen including approximately $600 in damage to the door.

11/8/2010 - AST #10-102630 - Residential Burglary


On 10/28/2010 at approximately 3:09 PM Alaska State Troopers investigated a burglary on Serrano Drive in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM on 10-28-10 unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the residence and stole personal items including electronics in excess of $5,000.  Some of the items taken from the residence where a 52” Samsung LED/3D/LCD TV, Samsung Blue-ray player, 32” Insignia TV with built in Blue-Ray player, HP Pavilion all in one PC, HP Lap Top computer, Nintendo DS X 2, and Bose Sound System and 3D glasses.

A vehicle of interest is a foreign made sedan black in color with heavy tinted windows.  It had silver trim around the windows and believed to have a newer style license plate.  Vehicle was seen leaving the residence by a neighbor.

11/6/2010 - AST #10-102559 - Burglary I, Theft II, Criminal Mischief III

On 10/28/10 at approximately 12:15 PM, Alaska State Troopers investigated a burglary at Mat-Su Central Fire Station #52 located on Bogard Road and Engstrom Road in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed between the hours of 11:45 PM on 10/27/10 and 12:15 PM on 10/28/10 unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the station and stole in excess of $20,000 in fire safety equipment.  Damage to the station is estimated at $500.

On 10/29/10 at approximately 12:17 PM, Alaska State Troopers recovered a majority of the stolen Central Mat-Su Fire Department property during a burglary investigation at a residence in the Cottonwood subdivision of Wasilla.  The recovered property was returned to CMSFD and investigation is continuing regarding the remaining stolen property which includes a 42” LCD Samsung TV, a Pelican case for a computer, and miscellaneous fire equipment.   In addition, the burglary at the fire station took place in an area visible from the nearby road system and the public is urged to report any suspicious activity during that time.

10/29/2010 - AST #10-99854 - Burglary I / Theft II

On 10/20/2010 at approximately 8:38 PM, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a burglary at a residence on Hatcher Pass Street in Wasilla (Pittman area).  Investigation revealed sometime between 10/16/10 and 10/19/10, unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the residence stealing a Troybuilt Gardenway 22” 10/hp snow blower and a NordicTrack Proform XP Treadmill Model #831.29525.4.  Total approximate value of the items is $1,000.
