10/2/2009 - AST Case #09-87158 Residential Burglary
On September 24, 2009, at approximately 8:05 PM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a burglary in the area of Overview Drive in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed that a number of items were stolen from the residence to include, jewelry, tools, two GT mountain bikes, and a Bumbleride children’s stroller. The stolen items are estimated to be worth a total of $15,000.00.  The case is currently under investigation.

10/1/2009 - WPD Case #09-1481 Theft
On 10-1-09, at 9:30 AM, the Wasilla Police Department received a report of a theft of an Onan gas powered 4Kw RV generator.  The generator was on display at the RV Show located at the Sportsman’s Warehouse parking lot in Wasilla.  The generator was stolen between 9-27-09 and 10-1-09.  Loss is estimated at $4,000.

9/20/2009 - AST Case #09-85840 Sexual Assault
The Alaska State Troopers needs help from the public identifying a person of interest in a sexual assault which occurred early Sunday morning on 9-20-09.  At approximately 4:00 AM, a 22 year old female accepted a ride home from the Mug Shot Saloon in Wasilla from an older white male driving a “box” type motor home.  The male was not known to the female.   The male drove the female to a park where the male possibly sexually assaulted the female.  The female has no recollection of what happened.  She woke up inside the motor home without any clothes on.  The female walked home and called State Troopers.  The male is described as an older adult Caucasian, about 5’9”, tanned complexion, broad shoulders, and a thick chest.

9/4/2009 - AST Case #09-30162 Stolen Sawmill

The Alaska State Troopers are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a stolen sawmill.  This large and rather distinctive looking sawmill, valued at $18,000 was stolen from mile 14 of the Edgerton Highway on or about April 5-15, 2009.  The sawmill was possibly last seen being towed toward Anchorage during this timeframe. The trailer measures about 26 feet in length.

8/31/2009 - WPD #09-1330 Armed Robbery

On 8/31/09, at approximately 6:32 PM, Wasilla Police Department received a 911 call from the Iditarod Headquarters on Knik Goose Bay Road.  The female employee reported that an armed robbery had just occurred and that two males ran into the woods toward Smith Ballfields with two bank deposit bags containing over $500 in cash.  The caller stated that she was closing the store when two males entered from the back door and demanded money.  A detailed description was provided.  She described the first male as approximately 26 years of age, wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans that were ripped at the knees, a shaved head and blue eyes.  She described the second male as approximately 30 years of age, 6`2", white "muscle" t-shirt, brown eyes, black ball cap, blue track shorts and had sores on his face.  Investigation is continuing.

7/22/2009 - AST #09-64058 Criminal Mischief and Theft from Vehicle

On July 22, 2009 at approximately 1:45 AM, Alaska State Troopers responded to the Park and Ride located on Trunk Road near the Parks Highway in Wasilla for a report of a vehicle being vandalized. Investigation reveled that on July 21, 2009 William M. Keeter age 22 of Wasilla, parked his 2004 Dodge truck at the Park and Ride at approximately 11:30 AM and continued on to Anchorage in a car pool for work. Keeter returned to his vehicle on July 22, 2009 at approximately 1:45 AM and found his driver`s side window had been smashed out. Keeter reported his check book, pocket knife, C.D. case and one C.D. were missing from his vehicle. Value of the damage and missing items was estimated at $450 dollars. This investigation continues.

7/19/2009 - AST #09-63111 Commercial Burglary

On July 19, 2009, at about 9:44 AM, Alaska State Troopers investigated a burglary at the Evergreen Nursery in Palmer. Approximately $1000.00 in cash was stolen. Investigation is continuing.

7/17/2009 - AST #09-62637 Residential Burglary


*** SOLVED ***

On July 17, 2009, at approximately 10:13 PM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a burglary in the area of Clayton Ave in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that a number of items were stolen from a residence to include, three checks totaling $550, a Dyson vacuum, a Nintendo Wii, and a collection of jewelry. The stolen items are estimated to be worth a total of $1,750.00. The case is currently under investigation.

6/29/2009 - AST #09-55645 Residential Burglary
On June 29, 2009 at 8:38 PM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Timberview Drive for a reported burglary.  It was reported that sometime between June 21, 2009 and June 29, 2009 someone had entered the residence on Timberview Drive near Wasilla and stole a large flat screen Sony television valued at $1,000.00.  Investigation is continuing.

6/23/2009 - WPD Case #09-922 Commercial Burglary

On June 23, 2009, at 12:25 AM, Wasilla Police were called to the European Deli at 300 W. Swanson Avenue for a burglary.  A cash register worth $200 and approximately $100 worth of change inside the register was taken.  Entry was gained through the back door by means of a pry bar.  Damage to the steel door and frame is estimated at $1,000.
