Burglary & Theft”

WPD 08-465

 

3/23/08 Wasilla Police received a report of a burglary of one of locked storage containers at the new Target store in Wasilla, which is currently under construction.  Approximately $2000 in 
power tools and other construction tools were stolen from the locked box.  The theft is believed to have taken place sometime during the evening hours of 3/22/08 and the morning of

Criminal Mischief”

AST 08-1660

 

On 1-7-08 at approximately 1452 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to Willow Air at mile 70.5 of the Parks Highway.  Investigation revealed that an unknown suspect had fired 7 gunshots into 
a Dehavilland Beaver aircraft that was parked in front of the business.  The weapon used is believed to be a large caliber revolver, but that has not been determined with certainty.  It is believed that the 
crime occurred sometime between 1-1-08 and the time of report.  Damage is estimated at $100,000.  Anyone with information regarding this crime or any other crime is asked to call the Mat-Su Crime

“Robbery 2nd

This case was solved as a result of a Crime Stoppers Tip.

 

On 1/30/08 at about 2006 hours, AST responded to a reported robbery at the Tesoro station near mile 49 of the Parks Hwy, near Wasilla.  Investigation determined a white male had 
entered the store and demanded cigarettes and cash from the clerk.  He became angry and threatened the clerks when he was denied.  The suspect began throwing objects at the
clerk until the clerk surrendered a pack of cigarettes.  The male was described as in his early thirties with medium length brown hair approximately 5" 8" tall and slender to medium 
build with no facial hair, wearing a gray Carhart type coat and dark colored hooded sweatshirt.  He was last seen running across the Parks Hwy towards Pittman Road.  The photo

“Hit & Run with Injury”

08-12655

 

On 02/16/08, at approximately 2200 hours, AST responded to mile 2.7 of Pittman Road on a reported hit & run collision.  An investigation at the scene revealed a 1996 Isuzu Rodeo 
was traveling southbound on Pittman Road when the driver observed a possible late 1990s model red standard cab Chevy truck approaching northbound in the middle of the roadway.  
The driver of the Isuzu Rodeo attempted to avoid colliding with the truck, however both vehicles collided on their passenger side.  The Chevy truck briefly stopped and then took 
off northbound on Pittman.  The driver and passenger of the Isuzu Rodeo reported minor injuries. Damage was estimated at over $2,000.  The snowmobile is valued at $3,500.00

“Theft”

On 2-17-08, at approximately 1145 hours, Alaska State Troopers were notified that a black 2000 RMK-800 Polaris snowmobile was taken from a yard at a residence on West Schrock Road.  
The theft occurred sometime between 1-20-08 and 1-26-08.  The snowmobile is valued at $3,500.00 dollars.  Anyone with information regarding this crime or any other crime is asked to

“Burglary / Theft”

AST 07-108327

 

On 12/31/07 at approximately 2200 hours, AST received a report of a Burglary in progress at a residence on N. Susitna Dr., in Wasilla.  An AST investigation revealed that two unknown males broke
into the residence, stole various electronics and computer items, valued at more than $6000.  Damage to the residence exceeded $1000.  The suspects fled the scene prior to AST arrival in a gray

On 1/15/08 Palmer Police received a report of a burglary at the Palmer Pool resulting in approximately $750 in damage.  The investigation revealed that suspect(s) forced entry into the pool building

“Armed Robbery”

AST #07-89500

 

 

On 10/19/07 Matcom dispatch received a 911 call from the Alaska Select Inn, in Wasilla, reporting an armed robbery.  A masked armed male was reported to have come into the hotel, pulled a knife on
the female clerk, who immediately fled and called 911 from a neighboring residence. The suspect fled the scene on foot.  No items were reported stolen. Anyone with information regarding this crime

Armed Robbery

AST #07-88605

 

 

On 10/15/07 at approximately 2355 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a residence on Mack Road.  Investigation revealed that two white males wearing dark clothing and dark helmets entered the victim's residence.  Both males were armed, one with a baseball bat and one with a knife.  Once inside the residence they forced the victim to sit still while they rummaged through the residence.  They took several dollars in change and two rifles, and one handgun from the residence.  The males then fled the area.  No injuries were reported. Vandalism, Theft and Destruction of Street Signs

 

 

The Mat-Su Crime Stoppers is requesting information regarding vandalism, destruction and theft of street signs, traffic control signs, speed limit signs and other signs owned by the Mat-Su Borough and State of Alaska.  It’s estimated that there is approximately $150,000* in damage to Mat-Su Borough traffic signs.  Damage to these signs is the result of gunfire, theft of the signs, knocking over signs, graffiti, and other acts of vandalism.  Anyone with information regarding these acts of vandalism are asked to call the Mat-Su Crime Stoppers or submit a tip via the internet at www.matsu-crimestoppers.org/tip.htm.

 

 

“Vandalism”

The Mat-Su Crime Stoppers is requesting information regarding two incidents of vandalism to the Big Lake Lions Club.  On 2/4/07 several windows were broken on the Lions Club in Big Lake resulting in approximately $1800 in damage.  On 9/9/07 several more windows were broken on the Lions Club in Big Lake resulting in approximately $545 in damage.  Anyone with information regarding these acts of vandalism are asked to call the Mat-Su Crime Stoppers or submit a tip via the internet at www.matsu-crimestoppers.org/tip.htm.

 

 

“Missing Person”

AST #99-35723

 

 

On 6/4/99 AST received a report of a missing juvenile, Michael Palmer, age 15.  Palmer had attended a party on the evening of 6/3/99 and morning of 6/4/99.  Palmer was last seen at approximately 0400 hours on 6/4/99 in the Pitman area.  He was supposed to be going to a friend’s house, but never showed up.  Anyone with information as to Palmer’s location or any information regarding Palmer’s disappearance is asked to call Mat-Su Crime Stoppers or submit a tip via the internet at http://www.matsu-crimestoppers.org/tip.htm.  The Alaska State Trooper missing person’s bulletin for Michael Palmer is located here.
