On Saturday, 11-14-15 at approximately 3:20 AM, Alaska State Troopers responded to the Valley Country Store located on Bogard Road at Stoney Hollow Drive for a report of a robbery.  An investigation revealed an adult male entered the store, produced a pistol and ordered the clerk to give him all the money in the register. The male suspect left the store on foot to a vehicle parked nearby described as a white hatchback then fled in the vehicle.  An undetermined amount of cash was taken.

Palmer PD#15-6108 Burglary, Weapons Offense
November 13, 2015

On Monday, 10-26-15 at approximately 6:30 AM Palmer Police Department received a report that an unknown person forced their way through the front door of a residence on Denali Street in Palmer.  The suspect fired a round into the house through an open door, but retreated when the homeowner also returned fire.  The homeowner did not see the suspect at any time and no injuries were reported.  Investigation continues.

On Monday, 10-19-15 at approximately 7:30 AM, Alaska State Troopers responded to Hatcher Pass Polaris in Willow after a citizen observed a large hole in the storage yard fence.  Investigation revealed someone had cut a hole in the fence sometime between 6:00 PM on 10-17 and 7:30 AM 10-19 and stole an orange and black 2016 Polaris Razor Turbo valued at $24,999.  The Razor wasn`t assembled yet and while they were stealing it, they lost one of the seats which was found in the storage yard.  In addition, two other machines were vandalized with repair cost estimated at approximately $1,000 for both along with an unknown quantity of merchandise taken from a storage trailer.

AST #AK15081091/AST #AK15078327 Burglary/Theft
October 07, 2015

On Saturday, 10-3-15 at approximately 5:30PM, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a burglary at A&E Storage.  Investigation revealed that individual(s) cut a hole in the perimeter fence of the storage lot and broke into and damaged multiple recreational vehicles stored on the premises.

Ten days earlier on Wednesday, 9-23-15 AST received a report of a theft from recreational vehicles stored in the outdoor parking area of A&E Storage located at Mile 47 of the Parks Highway in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed several unknown persons forced entry into approximately 10 RV`s, trailers and boats within a several day period prior to 9-23. The incident resulted in extensive damage to vehicles and fencing, including several thousand dollars in the theft of miscellaneous outdoor recreational items. Investigation is ongoing.

On Monday, 9-29-15 at approximately 1:14 AM, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a panic alarm followed by a 911 call reporting a robbery at the Valley Country Store located at Church Road and Seldon Road in Wasilla.  Witnesses described the suspect as a male Caucasian, approximately 6’ tall and medium build.  He was wearing a black sweatshirt with the hood up, a white undershirt, blue or gray pants similar to sweatpants with a white emblem on the left leg as well as a black scarf covering his face below the eyes.  The suspect held a large silver butcher knife threatening the store employee while demanding money.  The suspect then fled the store on foot towards Church Rd.  Witnesses reported they were placed in grave fear by the suspect but none sustained physical injury.

On 9-21-15 at 10:13 AM, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a theft from property located on W. King Arthur Drive in Houston. Investigation revealed someone entered the property sometime after 9-8 and stole a 500-gallon Greer fuel tank on a metal stand, with approximately 150 gallons of diesel heating fuel inside. Estimated loss is approximately $2,000.

Daniel Roy Buckwalter was last seen at his residence in Big Lake on 8/4/15.  He is described as 46 year old white male, 6’1” tall, 200 pounds with brown curly hair/ hazel eyes and scar on his left cheek. Daniel Buckwalter’s vehicle is described as a 1984 Chevy pickup that is dark blue and white bearing Alaska plate GHB682.  The vehicle was last seen by law enforcement on 8/12 in the Meadow Lakes area.  The Alaska Bureau of Investigation believes that Buckwalter`s disappearance occurred under suspicious circumstances.

WPD #15-1270 Burglary
July 21, 2015


On 7/11/15, at approximately 1:00 PM, Wasilla Police received a report of a burglary at Valley Armory located on Railroad Avenue in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed that on 7/8 at approximately 4:00 PM, two suspects broke into the building and a trailer. A 2000 watt Honda generator, a Rockstar promotional BMX bike, a 16” Husqvarna chainsaw,  drop saws, gas cans and assorted items were stolen from the building and trailer.  Total value of the items stolen is approximately $4,700.  

WPD #15-1119 Vehicle Theft - Motorcycle
July 21, 2015


On 6/30/15 at approximately 9:00 AM Wasilla Police received a report of a theft on West Pioneer Drive in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed a 2007 white/silver Suzuki cruiser style motorcycle with Alaska license 1017RW was stolen from the property at 8:13 AM on 6/21.  Trail cameras captured pictures of two white adult males and one adult female stealing the motorcycle and a propane tank.

AST AK#15048244 Homicide
June 26, 2015


Alaska State Troopers are looking for anyone with information regarding Christopher Seaman’s activities or people he was associated with between the afternoon of Monday, June 22 and the time his body was discovered in a car parked near the fireworks stands in Big Lake Tuesday night. Anyone who might have seen Seaman or his silver Honda Civic with Alaska license plate FJS829 in that timeframe can call Alaska State Troopers at (907)745-2131 or Mat-Su Crime Stoppers at (907)745-3333.

At approximately 10:45 p.m. on June 23, troopers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked off the highway in Big Lake. AST located a deceased adult male, later identified as 23-year-old Palmer resident Christopher Seaman, inside the parked car. Based on information gathered at the scene, Seaman’s death appeared suspicious. Further investigation determined the cause of death was a result of a homicide. Investigation is ongoing.

On Friday, 6-4-15 at 8:05 AM, Alaska State Troopers responded to report of a burglary at an apartment complex under construction on Wassim Circle in Wasilla.  An investigation showed sometime during the previous night someone entered the building and damaged windows and items inside the building.  The estimated value of the damage is $1,000.  The suspect cut themselves during the incident and may have injuries to their hand(s) or arm(s).

On Monday, 3-30-15 at approximately 4:11 AM, a 911 call was received by the Alaska State Troopers stating the Hill Top Tesoro in Sutton had been burglarized. Troopers arrived and an investigation revealed the Hill Top Tesoro was broken into between 1:40 AM and 2:00 AM.  Two security windows were broken, a cigarette machine was heavily damaged, and several hundred dollars’ worth of tobacco products, and an undetermined amount of cash was taken from a donation bucket. The donation bucket was to assist a family in a recent fire that lost their entire home. The suspect is described as a white or Native male or female, approximately 5’7” to 5’10” tall and 200 to 220 lbs.  Investigation continues.

On Thursday, 3-11-15 at approximately 12:33 PM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a burglary after the fact at a residence located on S. Morgan (in the area Sylvan Lane and Hollywood Road) in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed someone had entered the residence and stole a Sentry safe containing personal documents and a large sum of cash.  Approximately thirty firearms were taken from the residence.  Total value of the items is estimated over $50,000.00.

On 2-9-15 at approximately 7:40 PM Alaska State Troopers responded to the Geneva Woods Pharmacy on Seward Meridian Parkway in Wasilla for the report of an armed robbery.  Investigation determined that an unknown male forced entry through the back door of the pharmacy while the lone pharmacist was preparing to close the pharmacy for the evening.  The suspect was armed with a firearm and forced the pharmacist to fill up a large tote with all of the controlled prescription medication.  The pharmacist was unharmed during the robbery.  Investigation is ongoing.

On 1-8-15 at 12:03 PM, Wasilla Police responded to Alaska Mini Storage located at 190 E. Paulson Avenue for a report of a theft from one of the units.  At least six firearms and between $1500 and $2000 worth of other items were taken.  This case is currently under investigation.

On 1-12-15 at 1:33 PM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle with company decals from Sockeye Asphalt located on Lucille Street in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed a white 2012 Chevy Flatbed truck bearing AK plate GKH322 was stolen sometime after 3:30 PM on 1-09-15. 


On 1-13-15 at 9:51 AM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a burglary after the fact at a residence located on Shalestone Loop in Wasilla.  An investigation revealed a gas stove was stolen from the living room area of the residence sometime after 1-8-15. The house contained no other heat source, which caused the pipes to freeze, damaging the water softener system.  Estimated loss is $3,000.
Troopers suspect the theft of the Chevy flatbed truck may be linked to the burglary on Shalestone Loop.

On Sunday 12-13-14 at approximately 10:55 PM, Alaska State Troopers responded to an address on Parsons St. in Big Lake for a report of a burglary. Investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) unlawfully entered the residence and stole a firearm described as a .45 caliber Highpoint pistol.
