On Thursday 11-06-14 at approximately 2:06 PM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Necia Road located near Sunset Avenue in Wasilla for a report of a burglary. Investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) unlawfully entered the residence and an outbuilding and stole approximately $4,500 in property and two firearms. The suspect(s) also stole a 2000 Yamaha 700 snowmachine from the backyard.

On Monday 9-22-14 the City of Wasilla Public Works Department reported damage at the Wasilla Airport. Workers reported thirty-two (32) lights along the taxi and runway had been broken. The damage occurred sometime on Friday, September 19th. Damage was estimated at $6,400.

On Friday 9-19-14 at 6:45 AM, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a stolen dirt-bike motorcycle which had been chained to the front porch of a residence located off Portage Drive in Palmer the evening before. The motorcycle is 2009 orange and black KLM XTW250, worth about $8,500. In addition, the clutch lever was slightly curled up from when the motorcycle was dropped once.

On Wednesday 9-17-14 at 7:41 AM, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a theft of two rings from a residence on N. Charley Drive in Wasilla. The first is a white gold ring with a blue topaz stone and the second is a white gold 1.5 karat diamond engagement ring. Total loss is $4,200.

On Monday 8-18-14, Alaska State Troopers received a report of copper wire stolen from a new construction site at Joe Redington High School located near Mile 10 Knik-Goose Bay Road. Four trailers containing construction supplies were broken into over the weekend of 8-15. The theft is estimated at $1,000 worth of 3/0 #2 stranded grounding/bare copper wire (which had been spooled). Troopers are currently watching recycling depots for leads on persons attempting to sell scrap copper wire.

On Saturday 6-27-14, at approximately 7:20 AM, Wasilla Police Department received a report of 1,000 pounds of copper wire stolen from a trailer on E. Spruce Drive in Wasilla. Approximate value is between $1,200 and $1,800.
In a separate incident on 6-27 Wasilla Police Department received a report of a burglary at approximately 1:50 PM. Investigation revealed that on June 25th someone stole over $2,300 worth of copper from an unsecured building where a church was under construction on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway near Roberts Street.

Investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) unlawfully entered the residence with force and stole over $500 in property and a red 1998 Ford pickup from the driveway.

On Tuesday, 6-24-14 at approximately 11:46 AM, an Alaska State Trooper responded to the Fronteras Charter School located at 7010 E. Bogard Road in Wasilla for a report of a theft. Investigation revealed someone entered the building and stole multiple items including 14 MacBook Air laptops. This investigation is continuing.

On Monday 5-2-14, at about 10:26 PM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Snow Goose Road located near Seldon Road in Wasilla for a report of a burglary. The victim reported someone broke into the home while they were gone and stole several heirloom items, jewelry, electronics and a green 1999 Ford Ranger pickup with a green camper bearing Alaska license FLB178. The suspect is described as a white male (average size) with brown hair and possibly driving a white vehicle. Vehicle has been recovered.

The Wasilla Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred on Monday, 4-28-14 at Matsu Tattoo located on Knik Goose Bay Road. Investigation revealed the front door of the business was shattered. Two “Mickey Sharpz” tattoo machines were stolen as well as 50-6oz bottles of tattoo ink. Total value of stolen items was $4,500.

The Wasilla Police Department is investigating a report of a burglary that occurred sometime after work hours on Tuesday, 4-29-14 to a business located on Check Street. The suspect kicked in the front door of Robinson Millwork and evidence of a shoe print was observed at the scene. Stolen items from the business include a black plastic rifle case with a hunting scope containing a British Bulldog .44 revolver and a 12 gauge shotgun (possibly Mossberg brand single shot), a cash register containing cash, and 20 to 40 Alaska Mint one-ounce silver collectable commemorative coins.

An investigation showed that sometime in the previous several months unknown person(s) forced entry to an uninhabited mobile home and caused several thousand dollars in damage. At approximately 2:57 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, the Key Bank branch at 201 North Lucille St. in Wasilla, Alaska was robbed by an unidentified subject. After verbally demanding cash and obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the subject fled the bank on foot via the bank’s west exit and headed south, running across the Parks Highway, the railroad tracks, and towards Railroad Avenue and Lake Lucille. Shortly thereafter, witnesses saw a car traveling east on Railroad Avenue, then south on Knik Goose Bay Road, at a high rate of speed.
Witnesses described the subject as was a white male with light skin, approximately 6’0” tall, medium build, and possibly dark hair. He was wearing camouflage pants, a thick camouflage jacket with a detachable hood pulled up over his head, sunglasses with black lenses and black plastic frames, camouflage gloves, and a black scarf or balaclava with a grey design over his face, covering from his nose to his throat.
The car is described as light in color, possibly white or silver, with a black hood and black front bumper which did not match the rest of the car, possibly as a result of repairs following an accident.

On 4-9-14 at 8:23 AM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of criminal mischief and theft of a firearm from a vehicle located at a residence off N. Ravens Flight Drive in Wasilla. Investigation revealed someone had smashed the rear sliding glass of a 2010 Ford F150 sometime during the night and stole a black .38 Ruger handgun with pink grips. The estimated damage and loss is $875. Investigation is continuing.

On Sunday 3-2-14, between 11:35 PM and 11:45 PM, Mat-Su Tactical located in Wasilla was burglarized and four firearms were stolen. Surveillance video shows a single white male entering through the rear door and stealing the following three weapons from a display case:
Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm pistol, Serial #HSR4402
Glock 37 .45 GAP, Serial #LKU393
Taurus PT92 9mm, Serial #TGM03420
Also stolen was a Barrett .50 caliber rifle with a Swarovski scope, Serial #1409.
The suspect was wearing heavy black boots, ski jacket, hoodie, beanie hat and scarf, and no color of clothing was recognizable because of infrared cameras. The rear window was broken with a rock and the suspect reached in and unlocked the door. Suspect was inside Mat-Su Tactical for less than two minutes. Estimated value of stolen firearms is $12,295.

On Wednesday, 2-5-14 at approximately 9:00 AM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a burglary at residence under construction on Paradise Lane near Wasilla Fishhook Road in Wasilla. Investigation revealed unknown person(s) entered the residence and stole several Dewalt brand power tools and a Rigid brand air compressor. Also, on 2-6-14 the victim reported that a log fireplace was stolen the previous evening from the same residence. Total loss is estimated at $5,600.

On Saturday 1-8-14, Wasilla Police responded to a report of a Burglary at CAC Plastics, LLC located on Broadview Ave near the Parks Highway in Wasilla. Entry was made through an office window that was broken the previous night. The 16 channel Speco Technologies DVR and security cameras were ripped out and stolen as well as cash, a Remington Marine .380 automatic handgun and gold.
