On 4/8/11 at approximately 9:09 AM Alaska State Troopers responded to a MTA building on Big Lake Road for a report of theft. Investigation revealed sometime between the hours of 6:00 PM on 4/7/11 and 8:00 AM on 4/8/11 an unknown person(s) broke through the fence and stole two reels of cable valued at approximately $800. Damage to the fence is valued at approximately $200.

On 4/5/11 at approximately 6:15 AM, Alaska State Troopers responded to Far Country Animal Hospital on Lia Hona Drive, near Palmer for the report of a burglary. Investigation revealed that an unknown suspect forced entry through a rear window into the business. Items reported missing included various medications. Damage is estimated at over $500. This case is still under investigation

Police are looking for information as to the whereabouts of a snow machine stolen from the Valley area last month. During the early morning hours of March 12, 2011, unknown person(s) stole a 2007 Arctic Cat F6 SnoPro snow machine from a trailer parked at a parking lot near the Little Susitna River. The snow machine was locked to it`s trailer by two cables which were both cut. The snow machine is black with silver trim, has a studded track, and is valued at $6,000.00

On 3/14/11 at about 5:33 AM hours, Wasilla Police responded to a residence off of Lake Lucille Drive after the homeowner reported that two people (one male the other unknown) were attempting to break into the residence. Both suspects were dressed in dark colored Carhart winter gear. The suspects drove away in a Chevy or GMC extended cab, dark colored newer model truck before police arrived. Investigation revealed approximately $50 worth of damage to the residence.

On 3/6/2011 at about 11:58 AM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at the Susitna Professional Pharmacy located on Bogard Road in Wasilla. Investigation revealed a suspect gained access to the building through the roof. Motion sensors went off triggering the alarm in the pharmacy. Security video revealed the subject to be a white male about 5 feet 8 inches tall, medium build. The suspect then escaped by kicking out a window and fleeing into the Williwaw Subdivision. Damage to the building was estimated at over $500. This case is still under investigation.
Wasilla PD # 11-62 Armed RobberyOn 1-16-11, at 3:05 PM, Wasilla Police responded to an armed robbery at Arctic Pull Tabs. According to the complainant, a white male in his early 20’s entered the building and pulled a handgun from his pants and demanded money. Approximately $1,000 was taken from the business. The male was wearing a black hoodie, black sunglasses, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. The male then left the business on foot towards the Mug Shot Saloon.

On 2/13/11 at approximately 6:13 AM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a business off of Trevett Road near Pittman Road in Wasilla. Investigation revealed unknown subject(s) broke the door, entered the business, and took approximately $5,000 worth of ivory carvings and collectible coins. K-9 Roelle tracked the suspect(s) for approximately 1 mile where evidence revealed the suspect entered a vehicle and left the area. This case is still under investigation.

On 2-9-11 at approximately 7:00 PM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a hit-and-run crash with minor injuries on Knik-Goose Bay Road and Commodore in Wasilla. Investigation revealed an adult male was driving his 1988 blue Toyota 4-door when he was struck from behind while attempting to make a turn from Knik-Goose Bay onto Commodore Drive. The vehicle that hit the Toyota then fled the scene and has yet to be located. The Toyota 4-door sustained approximately $1,500 in damage.

On 2/1/11 at approximately 5:45 PM, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a vehicle theft at the Trunk Rd. Park and Ride near Palmer. Investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) stole a green 1995 green Jeep Cherokee parked at the Park and Ride. The vehicle had a cracked windshield and a “For Sale” sign in the rear window.

On 1-12-11, at about 6:50 PM at Sears and 8:15 PM at Walmart in Wasilla, a white female, approximately 5’6 to 5’9, 160 to 180 pounds, with long hair, in her late 20’s to early 30’s purchased items using stolen credit cards (see attached photo of the suspect). The female attempted to use multiple cards to purchase the items. If you have information regarding the suspect please contact Mat-Su Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.
It is unknown if there are multiple victims of credit card theft by this suspect. Anyone who recently had fraudulent charges on their credit/debit cards in the Wasilla and Palmer area around this time period are encouraged to call Palmer Police at 745-4811
Wasilla PD #10-1736 Arson

On 12-6-10 and 12-16-10, a structure fire was reported at Earthly Treasures, located at 340 N. Lucille Street in Wasilla. The first fire was called in at approximately 9:00 PM and extinguished shortly after the fire was started but the building was still heavily damaged. A set of keys belonging to the business were located outside the structure. The second fire which occurred on 12-16-10 was called in at approximately 9:30 PM and did substantial damage resulting in the shutdown of the business. The building was a total loss and damage was estimated at $200,000.

On 01/08/2011 at 9:11 AM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a church on Hollywood Rd. in Big Lake for a reported burglary. Investigation revealed two church vans were stolen. The vans were wrecked and recovered in the area of Kluane and Klutina. A newer model 42” flat screen television and a Fender Bassman amplifier were stolen from the church with an estimated value of $1000.

On 12/16/2010 the Alaska State Troopers responded to two separate reports of heating fuel stolen in the Sutton area. The first incident involved approximately 350 gallons of heating fuel stolen on 12-6-10 from a residence on Wright Way in Sutton. The second incident occurred late in the evening on 12-15-10 from a business known as Kat’s Quik Mart, formerly known as the Riverside Grocery & Deli, located on the Glenn Highway (this was the second incident within a week at Kat’s Quik Mart). The combined loss is approximately $1,585.00. No leads or suspects have been developed.

On 12/03/2010at approximately 4:55 PM, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a theft at a residence off of Peninsula Drive in Wasilla. Investigation revealed unknown person(s) gained access to the residence by breaking a window in a door. The following items were taken from the residence, a Playstation 3, a 40” Samsung television (ModelUN40B6000), a Gateway Laptop Computer (Model 2010) with a black cord, and a 9 mm handgun. Investigation is ongoing.

On 09/20/2010 at approximately 7:30 PM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Paddock Drive in Wasilla to investigate a burglary. Investigation revealed on 9-20-10, unknown suspect(s) gained forced entry into the residence stealing several thousand dollars in personal property and causing approximately $1,000 in damage to the residence. An XBox 360 Console (Gelgame), Apple IMac 20” desktop computer, Cannon EOS T1i camera, Toshiba HDTV Model 32HLC56, Panasonic 42” HDTV Model TH-42PX60U, and a white Nintendo Wii Console (Gelgame) were stolen.

On 11/04/2010 at approximately 0910 hours, the Wasilla Police Department received a report of a burglary at the CC Skidoo shop located on S. Willow in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that three ATV’s were recently stolen from the property. In addition, it was later discovered the evening of 11/4/10 that a 2010 Ski Doo Model 600 Renegade Backcounty snow machine was stolen. The snow machine has distinguishing details to include yellow and black honeycomb panels, Rev Tek suspension, custom air intake holes and a RS race seat. Approximate value of the snow machine is approximately $14,000 (similar to the attached photo). The ATV’s have since been recovered.

On 10/22/2010 at approximately 3:40 PM, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a burglary at a transmission shop located near Mile 50 of the Parks Highway in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that forced entry was made and approximately $10,000 worth of tools was stolen including approximately $600 in damage to the door.

On 10/28/2010 at approximately 3:09 PM Alaska State Troopers investigated a burglary on Serrano Drive in Wasilla. Investigation revealed between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM on 10-28-10 unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the residence and stole personal items including electronics in excess of $5,000. Some of the items taken from the residence where a 52” Samsung LED/3D/LCD TV, Samsung Blue-ray player, 32” Insignia TV with built in Blue-Ray player, HP Pavilion all in one PC, HP Lap Top computer, Nintendo DS X 2, and Bose Sound System and 3D glasses.
A vehicle of interest is a foreign made sedan black in color with heavy tinted windows. It had silver trim around the windows and believed to have a newer style license plate. Vehicle was seen leaving the residence by a neighbor.

On 10/28/10 at approximately 12:15 PM, Alaska State Troopers investigated a burglary at Mat-Su Central Fire Station #52 located on Bogard Road and Engstrom Road in Wasilla. Investigation revealed between the hours of 11:45 PM on 10/27/10 and 12:15 PM on 10/28/10 unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the station and stole in excess of $20,000 in fire safety equipment. Damage to the station is estimated at $500.
On 10/29/10 at approximately 12:17 PM, Alaska State Troopers recovered a majority of the stolen Central Mat-Su Fire Department property during a burglary investigation at a residence in the Cottonwood subdivision of Wasilla. The recovered property was returned to CMSFD and investigation is continuing regarding the remaining stolen property which includes a 42” LCD Samsung TV, a Pelican case for a computer, and miscellaneous fire equipment. In addition, the burglary at the fire station took place in an area visible from the nearby road system and the public is urged to report any suspicious activity during that time.

Investigation revealed sometime between 10/16/10 and 10/19/10, unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the residence stealing a Troybuilt Gardenway 22” 10/hp snow blower and a NordicTrack Proform XP Treadmill Model #831.29525.4. Total approximate value of the items is $1,000.
